We did an extensive research to identify viable methods and technologies available in this segment. We came across a technology that was invented in Japan, which potentially could solve these problems. The biggest advantage is that it is very simple and affordable method. We have set up a dedicated team to make finest bokashi composting maker in India. We designed a bin that could fit under kitchen sink comfortably. Kitchen Composter
Most kitchen food waste including fresh fruit and vegetables, prepared foods, cooked and uncooked meats and fish, cheese, eggs, bread, coffee grinds, tea bags, wilted flowers and tissues. But Do not put liquids (water, milk or fruit juice), paper and plastic wrap, or meat bones into the Trust Bin Composter.

Liquid fertilizer
With the use of Trust bin tap harvest liquid fertilizer every 3 days, The liquid removed is loaded with microbes and nutrients and makes an extremely effective natural fertilizer. Liquid fertilizer is acidic and should be diluted at a rate of 1:30 parts water which can be used to fertilize your pot plants or garden. Use undiluted liquid fertilizer and pour down your drains. It will help keep the drains clean and odor free. It is very useful in preventing sludge from building up and blocking drainage in septic systems and is a good way to minimize problems in your septic system
Organic Manure
You can use a little of the fermented food waste as a fertilizer for your pot plants. Or you can donate your fermenting bucket to a neighbor, friend or family member who has a garden. If your apartment complex has a communal garden you can explain to the gardener/ landscaper how to use this nutrient-rich fertilizer in the garden. How did you come up with the idea for this product?
It is a known fact that one of the most challenging aspects of waste disposal is getting people to adapt to the concept of segregation. Most of the garbage from cities ends up in landfills. This was why, in keeping with his vision of sustainable and affordable gardening, we came up with the idea of TrustBin, a product of parent company Trust Basket.
What makes your product special?
The key to the success of this system is the specially designed Trust bin and wood brain bokashi compost powder. Our goal is to exploring the idea of trust bin manure being used for organic farming and is analyzing the feasibility of collaborating with farmers who practice organic farming to supply the manure (produced in houses). The prototype stage will see customers connecting with farmers interested in using 100 percent organic domestically produced manure. Shekhar is also of the view that transportation costs will become more affordable with a bigger network of people using the bin.
What has been the best part of your experience?
“Learn-fast” is much better advice. When you start a company, all the odds are against you. You have less experience, less few customers, less brand trust, less money. You have less of everything. You are at a disadvantage from day 1, so the best thing you can do is to learn as fast as possible to even the playing field. A mentality of “learning-fast” will likely lead to success. A mentality of “failing fast” will likely lead to… well, failure.
